Meet the Staff
Mary Ruth
Hi, my name's Mary Ruth. I have worked at the Indian Head Animal
Hospital since June 1991, first as a veterinary technician and since
1996 as the office manager. I have worked in the veterinary field
since 1982 and it has been a wonderful career.
It has been a real pleasure to work here; the veterinarians and the staff have empathy and compassion for our patients and each other. Additionally health and retirement benefits prove that the owners care about their employees' welfare. |
Dana
My name is Dana, and I have worked at the Indian Head Animal Hospital
since June of 1988. I live with my mom and dad, my two older sisters,
my three-year-old daughter and our many pets. We have four dogs: one
Chihuahuas, named Pepper, two German Shepherds named Misty and Rocky,
and a huge Rottweiler named Foots. We also have two birds, an African
Grey named Sailor and a Conure named Conrad. As you can see, I love animals and I love working with and caring for animals. I learn something new every day at the Indian Head Animal Hospital. I have on several occasions nursed and raised newborn kittens; I have helped care for many sick and injured pets; and I have help with cesarean sections and many other medical and surgical procedures. |
Kathea
My
name is Kathea and I am a receptionist. I have been working at the
Indian Head Animal Hospital since 2003. I enjoy working here because
I love working with animals, I love people and I love working with
my sister, Gwyn. Dr. Eric and Dr. Andrew Gofreed were our family veterinarians so I have known about the Indian Head Animal Hospital most of my life. My beautiful white cat was actually adopted from here. |
Gwyn
Hi,
my name is Gwyn and I am a Veterinary Technician. I have been working
at the Indian Head Animal Hospital since May 2003. I grew up in Fort
Washington and we always brought our pets here. I enjoy working with
animals, even the uncooperative ones. I am married and I have 5 "kids":
3 cats, a dog and a bird. I always wanted to work at the Indian Head Animal Hospital. As a child I dreamed of working here. I guess you could say I have my dream job and I am very happy here. Oh, my sister Kathea works here too. |
Sandra
My
name is Sandra and I have been working as a technician at the Indian
Head Animal Hospital since 2002. I am married and I have one son named
Gregory. My other "Kids" are a German Shepard Mix named Frodo, a cat
named Annabel, and two Hermit Crabs (Harold and Herman). My husband and his family grew-up in this area and they always brought their pets to the Indian Head Animal Hospital. |
Dawn
My name is Dawn. I work here as part of the technician team. The most
rewarding part of my job is comforting sick animals and helping them
feel better. I have a long commute to work, but I don't mind because
I love working here. I have three pets; a horse name Cheyenne, a dog
named Sierra, and a cat named Sheba. I enjoy long rides on Cheyenne
and lively stroll with Sierra. My job is challenging and rewarding,
and the doctors and staff are all very friendly and caring like a
loving family. |
Sean
Hi,
my name is Sean, from Boston Massachusetts, I live in Fort Washington
area and I am a ward attendant. My job is to care for the animals
while they are in the hospital. I make sure they are well cared for.
I enjoy working with the animals. Feeding, washing, and walking them
can be a handful at times, but I take great care of the animals. I
keep their cages clean and help monitor their appetites and physical
condition while boarding. I also bath dogs and cats and assist the
doctors and technicians when I am needed. We have a great staff and
we take pleasure in caring for all the animals and meeting all their
needs. |
Bios coming soon for the following: Glennell, Gene, Ashley |
